Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. I love an excuse to celebrate love and also to make a regular day a little more special. Matt and I have a sacred Valentine’s Day tradition that includes one of our favorite romantic comedies, a “fancy” home cooked dinner, and drinks. Unfortunately this year, Matt will be working but I am still taking part in the festivities. Corny as heck but, Matt and I always watch the movie “Valentine’s Day.” You know the one with Ashton Kutcher and like every other famous actor ever? Yeah, that one.

I asked for input from my best girlfriends and Matt, avid Rom Com watcher, and put together a list of our favorite romantic comedies to watch this Valentine’s Day! Whether you’ve convinced your man to indulge you or you’re treating yourself to a night of cliché romance, this list is for you friend.
I linked all of them to Amazon so you can rent them directly through Prime! All you have to do is click on the movie cover photo.
In no particular order:
1. Valentine’s Day
You didn’t think I’d leave out my personal favorite for Valentine’s Day did you? There’s other romantic comedies on this list that I love even more, but for obvious reasons, this is number 1.
2. The Proposal
Adorable and still cracks me up no matter how many times I watch it. Is there anyone better than Sandra Bullock?
3. Just Like Heaven
Just like heaven is such an underrated romantic comedy. If you haven’t watched it yet, put it on your list.
4. Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past
Jennifer Garner, another fav. If your man isn’t down with the normal romantic comedies, this one may be a better choice!
5. 27 Dresses
6. Monster In Law
You know those movies that whenever they’re on TV you just have to watch them? This is one of those for me.
7. No Strings Attached
Maybe I’m a sucker for Ashton Kutcher… sue me. I love them both but I think “No Strings Attached” edges out “Friends with Benefits” as the more romantic movie/ending.
8. Friends With Benefits
But I’ll still give credit where credit is due. I love this one and the soundtrack in this movie is awesome.
9. 10 Things I Hate About You
I mean, they’re called classics for a reason right?
10. Definitely Maybe
11. How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days
12. Blended
I just want to go on record and say I know “50 first dates” should be on this list. It’s a great movie but it also makes me really sad so that’s why I didn’t include it. Blended exceeded my expectations and always makes me laugh.
13. The Ugly Truth
I really just love both of these actors. There are definitely a few R rated parts so fair warning.
14. The Switch
You could put Jen in anything and I would watch it! Not your average rom com story line which is why I love it.
Bonus: When We First Met
This is a super cute bonus romantic comedy because it is a Netflix original. I was surprised how much I liked it and how the love story played out!
Whether you’re spending the night alone, in a relationship, or hanging with your girls, I hope you treat yourself this Valentine’s Day! Get your favorite meal, candy, and maybe some wine and indulge in some irresistibly corny romantic comedies.
