10 Things You Probably Don’t Know About Me

Share with your friends!

For those of you that don’t know me in real life, I am an open book. So much so that this list was actually quite difficult for me to put together. It may not always be my best trait, but it has allowed me to connect deeper with people in my life and for that I am forever thankful. I love to learn silly or interesting facts about other people –friends and strangers on the internet alike– so I thought it would be fun to do a lighthearted blog for you guys to learn a little more about me.

#1 I was born severely tongue-tied. (Known as Ankyloglossia) This often causes issues with speech and eating. I never had any problems talking, but I did choke on food extremely easily –like receiving the Heimlich maneuver two different times before I was 5 years old (sorry mom!) I ended up getting surgery to remove the tie when I was 11 so I could get braces. Now I have a super tiny slit at the end of my tongue like a snake.

My tongue has a small slit in the end from the lingual frenectomy I had as a child.
I’m sure this is the hard hitting content and quality photos you came here for –LOL

#2 Cage diving with sharks is on my bucket list. I am completely fascinated by sharks even though they’re wildly scary. Shark week is my jam.

#3 I was supposed to be a twin. My mom lost the other baby within the first 6 weeks of pregnancy.

#4 Matt and I have the same middle name –Taylor! And now that we are married, we have the same initials.

#5 My ideal day off would be on the beach (or boating) with cold drinks and pub subs, country music, and my closest friends.

#6 I attended a really tiny private school until the beginning of 8thgrade. I had never changed classes or been in a cafeteria/locker room before starting public school.  I got hives on my first day –hello culture shock!

#7 I can wiggle my right ear, but not my left.

#8 I can’t ride a bike. I learned with training wheels and then never past that. You can take up your shock and horror with my parents.

#9 I love my two cats, but as a rule I am not really a cat person. Dogs rule –I said what I said.

About me
Summer, Lily, Barney & Jesse!

#10. I get extremely vivid nightmares from anything I watch (on tv or otherwise) so I refuse to watch any scary movies. It is so extreme that most “suspense” movies are too much for me.

Now it’s your turn! Leave me a comment and tell me something fun/interesting/weird about you.
