When it comes to your business, your website does so much to cater to your vision. Your content should be written for your target audience. If you do this right, then Google can reward you with traffic time and time again. In our world today, having just good content won’t make the cut. You’ll need to go above and beyond, especially with updating algorithms changing every other month. So how can you create fabulous content that your audience will love and continue to want more of? I’m sharing a few critical content tips for your website that you’ll want to remember.

1. Have Clear Goals

Before you can even begin, think about the end result. Do you want to spread the word about your brand, attract more customers or find new leads? In order for your content to be successful, you need to have a clear guide for what you want to do and accomplish. You’ll also want to figure out a way to measure these goals by counting your traffic, social shares or newsletter signs up that you’ll be sharing. A few things to ask yourself during this brainstorm session is who is this for, why are you writing this or how will I measure this goal?

2. Write About Something Relevant

Another tip about writing is the topic. Don’t just pick something you want to write about but something that can attract your audience. Think of keywords such as what are your followers searching for and what’s popular right now? Is there any content that you have that you could add more relative information on? Is there something that was said that you could turn into a full-length guide for your customers? Keep in mind of your target audience, what they are looking for, and how you can provide it to them.

3. Have Something Authentic To Share

Telling a story is what helps your followers and people connect to your content. It’s easier to do with other people’s content but it’s not great practice to bring to your business. Not only is it essential to share something authentic but you can also share it in a creative way with photography and videos. Peter Guzzo, an award-winning Executive Producer, Director and Creative has proved that his work with photography and videos captures his audience to a different degree. One of his heartwrenching PSA on Human Trafficking in Tampa shows just how powerful storytelling can be.

Peter owns a full-service video production agency in the Tampa area with an award-winning team of writers, editors, and business managers called Kestum Bilt. If you are first getting started, don’t be nervous. Kestum Bilt works with companies and businesses of all sizes. They work diligently to maintain top-notch work while also delivering on time, budget, and strategy. They have built their reputation on earning your trust and client satisfaction and its why they are so strong and have long term partnerships with clients. Additionally, they assist them with comprehensive video campaign analysis and educating and familiarize them with the process. With well-shot, creative takes, the reel speaks for itself.

4. Quality Pictures

Another great way to captivate your audience is by having quality pictures. To get this technique down, you’ll want to make sure that your lighting is key. If your light isn’t properly faced correctly, your pictures will look amateurish, despite already having great props or a subject. How can you change this? For starters, the best light source is the sun. Try to take your pictures early in the morning or in the evening when the light has a softer feel to it. If you shoot during the middle of the day, the light comes from overhead and can create some harsh shadows on your subject. Take a few test shots and also use a photo editing app to help brighten or lower the resolution in your photos. There are plenty of videos to help you learn about how to do this too.

Having these four critical things can really help boost your website’s credibility and views. Another important tip is to give yourself grace. Every day is not always going to be perfect with great photos, flowing words coming out onto the page, and endless time to create your vision. Again, if you’re feeling nervous my biggest advice would be just to start. Share with your family and close friends to let them know how excited you are to start this new journey. It’s worth all the hard work you’re putting into it. What are the first few tips you’re going to start implementing to your own website today? Share in the comments below.
